Testing & Treatment

The 2 testing options are skin test and blood draw test. If the skin test is given the client must return in 48-72 hours after the skin test to have the results read by the nurse. Written results are given to client. If the skin test results are positive, further testing may need to be done and education along with medication may be given to treat Tuberculosis disease at no charge to the client. Testing is not offered on Thursdays.

Signs & Symptoms

  • Chest pain
  • Cough, usually for more than 3 weeks
  • Coughing up blood or sputum
  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Night sweats
  • Weight loss
