Mission Statement

The Ford County Communication Center is responsible for dispatching the appropriated emergency services to the Citizens within Ford County on a timely basis. Thereby saving lives, protecting property, stopping crimes and preventing major fire loss while maintaining accurate information for our agencies we serve.

Ford County Communication Center utilizes an enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) telephone network which displays the caller's telephone number, known as Automatic Number Identification(ANI). The E9-1-1 system also provides the caller name and location with a feature known as Automated Location Identification (ALI). The system also provides automatic call routing, which means citizens are automatically routed to the correct 9-1-1 center for their jurisdiction.

When do I use 9-1-1?
9-1-1 is a reporting number. Call 9-1-1 to report an incident which you believe requires the response or intervention of a law enforcement officer, emergency medical service or firefighter. The professionals answering the 9-1-1 call will determine which agencies or units should respond and how quickly they need to reach the scene of the incident.

When a person is hurt or injured
When a crime has been or is being committed
When a motor vehicle accident occurs
Any situation involving a fire

We welcome tours, visitors to see the center between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Monday through Friday.
