My name is Karen Kreger. I am an Advanced EMT and Firefighter for Ford County Fire & EMS. I have had the privilege to work for such an outstanding department for the last 3.5 years. Since my hire date I have grown tremendously with my knowledge and skills. For me, the first time I had ever worn bunker gear was for my hiring test. Since then I have completed my FF1, Hazmat Awareness and Operations and recently my Hazmat Technician training. I have future plans of completing FF2 and Driver Operator this spring. I have completed all of my pre requisites for paramedic school and am anticipating on starting paramedic schooling in August. I have also received my National Child Passenger Safety certification as a car seat technician. I also serve as an advocate for children experiencing life- challenging medical conditions as a Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish.

When I am not at the station, I enjoy spending time with my son, Kollin, family, friends and 2 Great Danes. I enjoy traveling, photography, interior decorating and furthering my knowledge and education.
